Message	My headlights would cause the RPM needle to jump around like crazy and nearly stall. Usually only happened the first time I turned them on, though. The fix was to remove the alternator and have it professionally cleaned. Since the alternator was out, it was also a good time to rebuild the power steering pump. That was where my alternator grime came from, slow PS pump leak. There are some OUTSTANDING write-ups in the auto-faq sections of tt.net. That is what I used to work on mine. Good luck!
